Welcome to the network: BVES greets circa 100 new members in Berlin

On 7 July 2025, the German Energy Storage Systems Association (BVES) hosted the meeting for new members at Fraunhofer ENIQ in Berlin, following the board meeting and the meeting of the Large-Scale Storage Working Group. We were delighted to welcome around 100 new companies to the BVES network. The strong surge is manifestly showing that the energy storage industry is growing rapidly across all market segments.

The meeting kicked off with presentations by Dr Maria-Lena Weiss, Member of the German Bundestag (CDU/CSU), Dirk Biermann from 50Hertz Transmission GmbH and Christoph Wittwer from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE. This gave the new members a direct insight into current developments in research, grid operation and the political and regulatory situation.

Afterward, a presentation of the association’s work followed. The focus was set on key market segments such as households and buildings, industry and commerce, and system infrastructure, supplemented by specific practical examples from BVES members such as Kraftblock, SecAdair, be.storaged, Hager Group and LCP Delta.

The new members’ meeting provided an excellent opportunity for exchange, networking and getting started with the association’s work. We would like to thank all participants for their great engagement and look forward to working together in this dynamic market.
